Jan Samarth Portal will help MSME entrepreneurs, farmers progress: PM Modi New Delhi, June 6 (KNN) Launching the Jan Samarth Portal, the National Portal for Credit Linked Government schemes on Monday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that it will improve the lives of students, farmers, businessmen, MSME entrepreneurs and will help them in realizing their dreams.

Earlier it was the responsibility of the people to go to the government for availing benefit of the schemes. Now emphasis is on taking governance to people and free them from the rigmarole of doing rounds of different ministries and websites, he added.

The Portal is going to help the nations youth and startup ecosystem, the PM pointed out.



Speaking about reforms, he said the government is focused on simplification and gave example of GST and added that it has replaced the web of many taxes at the centre and the state.

He also inaugurated the iconic week celebrations of the Ministry of Finance and Ministry of Corporate Affairs and a Digital Exhibition which traces the journey of the two Ministries over the past eight years.  (KNN Bureau)
